APGA Slams APC Over Attack On Archbishop In Imo State
The All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, has reacted to the attack on Archbishop of Owerri Archdiocese, Anthony Obinna, by members of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Archbishop Obinna was said to have been attacked by members of the APC during a burial ceremony in Imo state during the weekend.
Reacting to the incident, APGA warned the ruling party against bringing mad dogs to church.
In a press statement, signed by its spokesman, Dr. George Nkwoji and made available to newsmen yesterday, in Owerri, APGA said, “It is an abomination to take wild dogs in human flesh, to church. It was sacrilegious to unleash same on a priest while delivering sermon.”
The Imo leadership of APGA described the assault on the revered Archbishop as “despicable and a veritable evidence that the APC-led government in Imo State, has sordid plans for the 2019 general election.”
It added, “As a drowning man, the APC is willing to clutch on anything within it’s reach to remain afloat, including resort to brutality against personal and perceived enemies.
“To have attacked the Archbishop is indeed most unfortunate and intolerable in any civilized clime. Imo people are consequently implored to be on the alert, for such further occurrences.”
