Champions League: Juventus Vs Real Madrid: Match Details
Massimo Allegri’s Juventus will on Tuesday night clash with Real Madrid
at home in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter final match.
Allegri’s men will no doubt have revenge on their minds as they come up
against the Los Blancos that defeated them in last year’s final.
It is a repeat of the 2017 final and the home side will be hoping for an
improved display against Zinedine Zidane’s men at the Allianz Stadium as they
attempt to seize the advantage ahead of the second leg on April 11.
When Juventus and Real Madrid met in Cardiff last June, the Spaniards
inflicted a crushing defeat on the Italians to lift the Champions League
trophy.
The game finished 4-1 as Cristiano and Co. wrote their names into the
history books by becoming the first ever team to win back-to-back titles in the
modern era.
Midfielder, Miralem Pjanic is serving a suspension and Federico
Bernardeschi is definitely out with an injury, but Mario Mandzukic could
feature.
Mehdi Benatia is suspended for the game, while Alex Sandro is a doubt as
he recovers from injury, which means there will be some reshuffling in defence.
Meanwhile, Zinedine Zidane’s Real Madrid heads into the clash on form
after defeating Las Palmas 3-0 in an away La Liga fixture at the weekend,
thanks to Gareth Bale brace and Karim Benzema goal.
Zidane’s men are on the hunt for a third successive Champions League
title and an away victory would set them up nicely for the tie’s decisive game
at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Apart from defender, Nacho, who is the only real doubt, the Los Blancos
has no injury worries ahead of the clash.
Juventus potential starting XI:
Buffon; De Sciglio, Chiellini, Barzagli, Lichtsteiner; Khedira, Matuidi,
Marchisio, Dybala, Cuadrado, Higuain.
Real Madrid potential starting XI:
Navas; Carvajal, Ramos, Varane, Marcelo; Casemiro, Modric, Kroos;
Ronaldo, Benzema, Isco.
The kick off time for the match is 7:45pm
