Buhari In Bauchi On Two-Day Working Visit

President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived Bauchi State on a two-day working visit.

The presidential plane touched down at the Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport, Bauchi at about 10:2am on Thursday.

Buhari is expected to commission some projects especially roads and flag off the distribution of 500 tractors to farmers in the state during his visit.

Governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar had declared Thursday a public holiday due to Buhari’s visit in an attempt to give Bauchi residents a chance to welcome the president.

Irate Bauchi Youths Chase Grazing Herders Out Of Girls' School Premises

 

Angry youths on Monday mobilized and chased out grazing herders away from Government Girls’ Secondary School premises in Tafawa Balewa LGA of Bauchi State.

A resident, Mr. Amos Kawu said that news had filtered into town that the herders had resisted any attempt to stop them from grazing their cattle in the school premises.

“Their resistance threw the school girls into serious panic”, he said.

Kawu revealed that it prompted the youths to mobilise to the school premises and chased the herders away.

He added that dangerous swords and weapons were found with the herders targetted at the innocent girls.

We gathered that palpable fear has enveloped the school girls over the recent Dapchi experience where over 100 girls were abducted.

Efforts to reached DSP Kamal Datti Abubakar, Bauchi State police spokesman for confirmation failed after repeated calls on his line was not answered.

2019 Presidential Election: Buhari will Lose In Bauchi If - Nasiru Darazo

President Muhammadu Buhari may risk Bauchi state’s cumulative votes if APC insists on giving the party’s governorship ticket to Governor Mohammad Abubakar in 2019 election.

According to DAILY POST, an APC chieftain, Alhaji Nasiru Darazo said that all strategies have been put in place to politically bury Abubakar’s second term, alleging huge failure of APC under the governor.

Darazo who is from the faction of speaker Yakubu Dogara and that of Dr Ibrahim Lame added that they will not spare anything in an effort to dislodge Abubakar during the primaries e in favour of Lame.

He boasted that Abubakar will surely be slapped by delegates within the APC for failing to redeem a promise of N3 million each to 20 LGAs.

The party chieftain lament that there is no any achievement in Bauchi state under Abubakar in spite of the huge allocation from the federal government

“I strongly advise the APC, President Buhari and the national working committee to heed my advice or risk our votes in Bauchi state because we cannot vote APC where Abubakar is eventually given governorship ticket ahead of 2019 election, ” added Darazo.

What was left the bus after the accident that left 22 students dead

Heart Breaking!!! Photos of 22 Secondary School Students That Lost Their Lives In A Fatal  Motor Accident In Kano

There was a fatal accident in Kano State in which a total number of 22 secondary school student was found dead. According to several reports, the students were going on an excursion to a radio station in Kano state, when they were involved in a ghastly motor accident at Gaya local government area of the state yesterday February 13th.

The accident, which happened around 11.00 a.m., claimed the lives of 22 students, the occupants of the bus when their bus had a head on collision with incoming truck which rendered the vehicle and its occupants crushed beyond recognition. The students who were being conveyed from Misau Local Government Area of Bauchi to the radio station in Kano State were all pronounced dead in the spot with no survival except for the truck driver and his conductor. 

Eyewitnesses say the bus collided with the truck as both were trying to avoid a pothole at Samia Uku village.

The victims have been buried according to Islamic rite. The funeral prayers took place at Emir’s palace, Misau Emirate Council. May their souls rest in peace, Amen.
