Last night, Cristiano Ronaldo led Portugal to victory against the Netherlands to win the maiden Nations League trophy with 1 - 0.

Following the win, his partner Georgina Rodríguez took to her Instagram page this morning to share this cute photo of herself and the Juventus striker sharing a kiss as they pose with the country's new trophy.

Real Madrid Superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly wants seven players out of the club this summer.

Ronaldo has met club president Florentino Perez, demanding that no less than seven players are shipped out of the Santiago Bernabeu.

Real Madrid are looking up for a huge squad overhaul this summer after a frustrating domestic campaign.

Bitter rivals Barcelona are running away with La Liga title as they currently sit 15 points clear of Real.

And the disappointment has prompted the Portugal captain to summon Perez for showdown talks to air out his feelings.

The first star to feel his wrath is £75m rated attacking-midfielder Isco.

A source at the club told Spanish newspaper, Diario Gol, that Ronaldo does not like Isco’s attitude on or off the field and wants him gone.

Manchester City are reportedly confident of landing Isco who scored a hat-trick in Spain’s 6-1 win over Argentina on Tuesday.

Ronaldo also told the club president that Mateo Kovacic and Marcos Llorente are not up the required standard and should be shown the door.

Ronaldo is adamant that Perez must look to enhance the Real squad with a number of Galactico signings after first trimming the fat.

But the most surprising demand made by the five time Ballon d’Or winner is that goalkeeper Keylor Navas is sold.

Although the pair have an excellent relationship, Ronaldo wants to see David de Gea, Marc Andre Ter Stegen or Thibaut Courtois between the posts.

The final three stars who look set to be moving on are youngsters Borja Mayoral, Jesus Vallejo and Achraf Hakimi.

Buffon Likened Ronaldo To The Likes Of Pele, Maradona

Juventus goalkeeper, Gianluigi Buffon has likened Real Madrid’s star, Cristiano Ronaldo to Pele and Diego Maradona.

He stated this after the Champoins League match between his side and Madrid, on Tuesday night, at Allianz Stadium, Italy.

Ronaldo scored a brace in Los Blancos’ quarterfinal first-leg win over the defending Serie A champions.

The second was a brilliant overhead kick, that left Buffon stranded.

Speaking with Mediaset after the match, the Italian international applauded Ronaldo for his brilliance.

According to Buffon, Ronald has helped his club to achieve much sucesses, a stride he says equates him with the likes of Pele and Maradona.

He said, “Once again today, we’ve all seen what Ronald is, he always has been an incredible footballer who, together with [Lionel] Messi, are inspiring their sides to the greatest successes.

“This means that Ronaldo’s value has to be compared with the likes of Maradona and Pele

“He’s one of those players who can have such a huge influence over the number of games and titles their sides win.

“We’re really disappointed because probably we’re not going to make it through now, and this is a huge regret, but it’s also true that when you face opponents like these, you’ve just got to be able to acknowledge that they simply are too good.

“When you’re playing against incredible players, it’s not like you’re making mistakes, when they score so many, you may just be a little bit less precise at times but when you face the best, these things can happen.

“We’re talking about players who can score 500 goals in 10, 12 years of their career.”

Superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo has thanked Juventus supporters for applauding his overhead goal in the LaLiga Champions’ 3-0 victory in the Champions League quarter final first leg in Turin on Tuesday.

Two-time reigning champions, Madrid put one foot in the semi-finals thanks to Ronaldo’s two goals and one assist to Marcelo.

Having opened the scoring inside three minutes, the Portugal captain was at it again with an unforgettable bicycle kick in the second half.

The FIFA world best player earned a standing ovation from Juventus fans.

Reacting to the fans’ gesture, Ronaldo told reporters, “I have to say thank you, Grazie, to all the supporters of Juventus. What they did for me was amazing.

“This has never happened in my career so far but I’m so happy.”

Ronaldo had earlier admitted that he did not expect to score his bicycle kick.

He became the first player in Champions League history to score in 10 successive appearances as he took his tally to 39 goals across all competitions for Madrid this season.

LA Galaxy striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has reacted to Real Madrid star, Cristiano Ronaldo’s stunning second goal against Juventus in the Champions League quarter-finals first leg.

Ronaldo inspired the Los Blancos to a 3-0 away win against the Serie A champions in Turin on Tuesday night.

Ibrahimovic, who scored from exactly that distance at the weekend as he made his debut against LAFC, scoring twice to help his new club turn around a 3-0 deficit to win 4-3, said Ronaldo’s strike against Juventus was a little too close to goal.

Speaking on ESPN’s Sportscenter on Tuesday night, when he was asked about Ronaldo’s overhead bicycle kick goal, he simply replied: “It was a nice goal, but he should try it from 40 meters.”

He added: “I mean I’m still jetlagged. I’ve been here for four days, trying to pass the days with energy as much as possible but it hasn’t been easy.

“But people approaching me and saying, ‘Welcome to LA, it was a crazy goal, it was a crazy game’ and all positive things, so I just feel happy and welcome.”

Portugal Coach, Santos Explains Why Ronaldo Led Team Fall 3-0 To Netherlands

 

Portugal manager, Fernando Santos has explained why his side fell 3-0 to Netherlands in a friendly match on Monday.

The coach said Monday’s 3-0 loss was his responsibility.

Portugal, currently the European champions, were beaten by Netherlands, who delivered Ronald Koeman’s first win since he took over in February.

Netherlands were too good for Portugal, who had Joao Cancelo sent off in the second half.

Memphis Depay, Ryan Babel and Virgil van Dijk were the scorers in the game.

Santos told reporters, “I could have done better, but the responsibility for defeat is mine.

“It was I who chose the players, had observed the opponent, set up the strategy so that we had possession of the ball and I think in the initial 10 minutes we had the ball and circulated well.

“We conceded a goal and from there things got more complicated.

“They explored the side aisles well and had many difficulties in the first half.

“The overall behaviour was not adequate and we could not go on a counter-attack. We talked to the players at half-time and in the second half we were a different team in every respect.

“We did not allow spaces to the opponent, except near the end.

“With 10 players on the pitch, we had a bit more difficulties, but we kept trying to reach the goal and we had three or four chances. We deserved a goal or two.”

Forward, Cristiano Ronaldo celebrated in the dressing room with team-mates and officials after Real Madrid qualified for quarter finals of the UEFA Champions League.

Ronaldo, who is the reigning FIFA world best player, took it upon himself to secure the Los Blancos’s place in the quarter final after beating Paris Saint-Germain 2-1 in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 tie on Tuesday night to progress to round of eight on 5-2 aggregate, having won the first leg in Spain 3-1.

The Portuguese captain, who scored the opening goal for Madrid, shouted as he made his way into the dressing room before hugging and high-fiving members of manager, Zinedine Zidane’s coaching staff.

In the video, the Los Blancos’ players and staff hugged and cheered as they made way into the dressing room in France after the full time whistle was blown.

Davido disclosed this during an interview with popular football website “Goal”. It would be recalled that Ronaldo had followed Davido on Instagram some months ago, causing quite some buzz among his fans.

In the interview, Davido also said “Even back home in Nigeria,during free time on saturday morning i’m on the pitch i play number 7

“Ronaldo is my friend but i haven’t met him, he is busy and i’m busy.

“I’ll do a video with him but not a music video ..would try to capture a video where our worlds will meet.

“I met with Chelsea players too, Victor Moses introduced me to them.

On Nigeria winning 2018 world cup, Davido said “I’m behind Nigeria all the way, Super Eagles have good players but are in a tough group.”
