Biafra: Abia police commissioner talks tough, vows to arrest Nnamdi Kanu

Biafra: Abia police commissioner talks tough, vows to arrest Nnamdi Kanu
The Abia State Police Commissioner, Ene Okon has vowed to arrest the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, if he ever returns to the state.

Kanu has been on the run since he was granted bail by the Justice Binta Nyako-led Federal High Court in Abuja few years back.

The IPOB leader had escaped out of Nigeria shortly before men of the Nigerian Army invaded his residence in Afaraukwu in Abia State few years ago.

However, the Abia commissioner of police, in a chat with The Sun, said if Kanu stepped into the state he would be apprehended and handed over the court for his trial.

Okon also rubbished Kanu’s style of struggle for secession, stressing that the IPOB leader was “carrying out hard, subversive tendencies”.

According to Okon: “Kanu? Those ones were merely nationalists, Nelson Mandela fought apartheid, which apartheid is Nnamdi Kanu fighting in Nigeria?

” There are no bases for comparison what happened in India and South Africa with what Nnamdi Kanu is doing. Mandela fought against apartheid, but Kanu is carrying out hard, subversive tendencies.

“He is already a wanted man. You and I knew how he escaped; he is standing trial already, so, any time he steps in here and he is seen, he has to be arrested and handed over to the court to face his trial.”

Biafra stay-at-home: IPOB speaks on attacking Catholic priest in Anambra

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has reacted to claims that emerged from Nnewi, Anambra State, that some of its members attacked a Catholic priest during the stay-at-home order held across South-Eastern Nigeria on Thursday.

IPOB’s reaction was contained in a statement by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Comrade Emma Powerful.

The group said that it remains the most peaceful organization as there had never been any evidence of them wielding any gun or any weapon to attack people not to talk of Christians.

IPOB thanked the Nnewi business community and other cities for standing in solidarity with the group on Thursday to show respect to the fallen heroes and heroines of Biafra.
The group’s statement added, “It is crystal clear to the general public that since the inception of IPOB, we don’t carry or move about with machete, AK47 rifle or any kind of weapon.

“We wonder why Nigeria Government and her security agencies would come up with such rubbish instead of saying really what happened in Nnewi and how they failed to deceive Biafrans to obey the sit at home order issued by IPOB authority.

“It’s very pathetic that National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) clashed with some Nnewi youth and drug peddlers in Nnewi yesterday and tagged it to a peaceful movement like IPOB.

“Since the formation and commencement of this great movement championing for the liberation of Biafran people, we never attacked or killed anybody in Biafraland or in Nigeria state. IPOB does not indulge on such evil acts no matter the level of attack, killing, humiliation, intimidation, torture against us.

“We are aware that they can only use sponsored media attack and misinformation to deceive and confuse the general public about the successful outcome of this sit at home order held on Thursday 30th of May.

“But pictures and video evidences are there in every social platforms detailing clearly how compliance in every part of Biafraland. Involving IPOB in this recent attack against innocent citizens who were coming back from night vigil in Nnewi, it is unacceptable.
“We are not Fulani Herdsmen terrorists and Boko Haram members who attack Christians and churches randomly without Nigeria Army and police stopping them.

“let it be known by the general public that the government headed and dominated by Fulani soldiers and politicians are sponsoring Fulani Herdsmen terrorists and Boko Haram members to attack Christians and churches in Nnewi and other parts of Biafraland.

“Given by this confirmation of successful and total compliance of this year event security operatives decided out of shame and disgrace to give IPOB members bad name to confused the gullible people that IPOB attacked church and Christians in Nnewi.”

Biafra: IPOB reveals why Nigerian Government shutdown Port Harcourt, Calabar, Warri seaports

NEWS
Biafra: IPOB reveals why Nigerian Government shutdown Port Harcourt, Calabar, Warri seaports
 www.naijavoiceofthemasses.blogspot.com
The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Monday, said that the Federal Government’s closure of the seaports in the South-South was to strangulate the economy of South-East.

This was part of a statement signed by IPOB’s Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful on Monday.

In the statement, Powerful quoted IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, as demanding the reopening of Warri, Calabar and Port Harcourt seaports.

The IPOB described their continued closure as one of the injustices it had been fighting.
The statement added, “IPOB is about the liberation of all Biafra territories. Only mischief makers will imply otherwise.

“Yet, some people from the coastal part of Biafraland will beat their chest to admit to working towards one Nigeria and foolishly channel their grievances against the same IPOB that is trying to save all of us.

“These traitors hiding under the name of one pro-Biafra group or another cleverly forgot that their masters in the Federal Government have reached an agreement to build a dry port worth $250 million in Ibadan, while Igweocha a city the British colonial masters renamed Port Harcourt in Rivers State has no functional port.

“It is on record that I have consistently asked for the reopening of Warri, Calabar and Igweocha seaports.

“For those accusing us of making IPOB an Igbo affair, Warri is not in Igboland, neither is Calabar, but as anyone in the know will testify, I have always insisted these demands of reopening South-South seaports, be met before any formal dialogue can take place.

“It was not a Biafran or Igboman that killed Ken Saro Wiwa, neither was it an Igbo man that killed Adaka Boro. Why it is that Yoruba that support northern hegemony gets everything whereas the governing elite of the coastal region loyal to the North cannot attract the same level of interest?

“A new mega-seaport is being built in Badagry to add to Tin Can and Apapa Wharfs but South-South seaports were closed down to strangulate the economy of Biafra.
“They have railway lines crisscrossing the entire West, but there is nothing in our land (South South and South East).

“Where are the Fulani approved elites in the South-South or the Arewa Consultative Forum anointed leaders of South-East? Don’t we have resources for a Seaport site?, yet $250m will be spent to build an artificial one.

“These traitors will not fight their oppressor, but are comfortably happy to accept crumbs falling off the master’s table to fight IPOB, that is fighting to liberate them.

“I have never and will never collect money from anyone to sell or compromise our puritanical stance because unlike these stomach infrastructure agitators, I will sacrifice anything sacrificeable to get Biafra.

“I rejected every financial inducement when I was incarcerated and detained in Kuje, I would not insult myself by accepting anything from anybody now. I want to tell Ohaneze Ndigbo leaders, Igbo governors, PANDEF leaders and every other meaningless ‘settle me and my boys groups’ out there that our problem is their lack of patriotic discipline and weak mindedness. IPOB has gone way too far in this effort to restore Biafra.

“The jihadist Arewa core north have given N100 billion to Fulani Herdsmen killers, but how to stop 30th May Biafra Heroes Remembrance Day, is of paramount issue to Igbo politicians. Is this not the height of misplaced priorities?

“It’s a shame to the Old Eastern region, how the North keeps on messing with our brain because some people cannot afford to resist financial inducement. They keep on fooling our so called leaders and disgracing them out of power in the end.

“The level of humiliation and marginalization is now a shame to our region. What a shame…look at how Okoroawusa is being disgraced from pillar to post after serving his Fulani kinsmen. His only mistake is that he has an Igbo name. They have even forgotten that he is one of them. That is the extent of their hatred for anything Biafra.”

"We will track down the killers of Prophet Nwoko" - Biafra group

"We will track down the killers of Prophet Nwoko" - Biafra group

Biafra Nations Youth League, BNYL, has stated that it will not relent in the ongoing hunt for the alleged murderers of late pro-Biafra Prophet, Anthony Nwoko.

The group, in a statement on Wednesday, signed by its Acting Leader and Head of Operations, Ebuta Victor Takon, claimed that the killers of the prophet were six in number, and vowed to track them down.

BNYL was reacting to the recent statement from the indicted Chief Security of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Enugu chapter, Victor Egede, who denied involvement in the killing.

Egede had said he never knew late Nwoko until his death.

But reacting to his claim, Takon, said his group will not go back to its word in hunting down the killers.

Takon said he relied on the investigation of the group made public by the BNYL Leader, Princewill C Richard.

He also said that pro-Biafran groups were not at war with each other.

According to him, “I don’t care how they view it, I know this is what the enemies want to hear.

“They have succeeded in sponsoring some pro-Biafrans against their colleagues, but will fail.”

He said the report circulating online that the group was hunting IPOB members was false.
“We are not after the innocent but from intelligent information leaked to us, we are working on tracking the killers, they were six in number and all with matchets.”

BREAKING NEWS
IPOB Leader, Kanu meets diplomatic community in Germany, plans US meeting
The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu on Monday met the diplomatic community in Germany, in his attempt to seek support for the actualisation of Biafra Republic.
According to Emma Powerful, Media And Publicity Secretary for IPOB, Kanu’s meeting was a move to restore Biafra’s sovereignty and freedom.
He said, “The recent diplomatic move by the IPOB leader in Germany yesterday (Monday) is another sign that Biafra restoration is a divine project.

“Our leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has been making serious moves to restore Biafra in our lifetime which most of the enemies of Biafra don’t know.
“We thank the Jewish community in Germany for their gesture and hospitality to our leader Mazi Nnamdi and other IPOB family members who were with him and the Israeli support to restore Biafra as an independent nation.
We gathered that Kanu met members of the diplomatic community in Germany, led by Chief Rabbi of Munich and Greater Bayern, Shmuel Brodman.
A source within the IPOB rank told our correspondent that Kanu plans to make another trip to the United States of America soon for another meeting.

Biafra Calls For Dissolution Of Nigeria, Attacks Nwodo, Ikpeazu, Others

BREAKING NEWS
Biafra Calls For Dissolution Of Nigeria, Attacks Nwodo, Ikpeazu, Others
The Media and Publicity Secretary of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Comrade Emma Powerful, has called for dissolution of Nigeria.
Powerful said those clamouring for the restructuring of Nigeria should have a rethink because the nation has totally collapsed, stressing that repackaging an already crumbled country would cause more harm than good.
The IPOB spokesman also flayed the apex socio cultural group, Ohanaeze Ndigbo for compounding the suffering of their people by not speaking against injustice.
Powerful, in a chat with Punch, said: “Referendum is the will of the people. No right-thinking, intelligent being would subscribe to the ludicrous notion of one Nigeria unless that person is a thief, suffering from identity crisis or lacking in self-confidence that can only hide by belonging to a wider Nigeria. If Ohanaeze Ndigbo is in doubt as to what our people truly desire, they should conduct a plebiscite.
“Restructuring is not a panacea for the ills bedeviling Nigeria. The only solution is outright dissolution. Restructuring is a product of a flawed intellectual argument devoid of common sense and rational thinking. You cannot fuse together divergent, competing and often irreconcilable value systems into one monolithic geopolitical space.
“Ohanaeze Ndigbo has outlived its usefulness. An organisation that claims to represent the interest of the people but is actively engaged in undermining the collective aspiration of the same people it claims to be working for should not exist. Ohanaeze Ndigbo is an organisation that has soiled its hands in the blood of the innocent. Nnia Nwodo (Ohanaeze President-General), Gov. Dave Umahi (Ebonyi State) and Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia State) are the brains behind Operation Python Dance II”.

Herdsmen Killings: Uko Reacts To Danjuma's Comment, Asks Him To Apologise To Kanu, IPOB

BREAKING NEWS
Herdsmen Killings: Uko Reacts To Danjuma's Comment, Asks Him To Apologise To Kanu, IPOB
Founder of Igbo Youth Movement, IYM, and Deputy Secretary of Igbo Leaders of Thought, ILT, Evangelist Elliot Ugochukwu Uko, has reacted to rtd. Gen. T Y Danjuma’s call for selfdefence against incessant killing of innocent Nigerians by Fulani herdsmen.
Uko said “Danjuma’s call on Nigerians to defend themselves came very late.”
He also said Danjuma and his group should apologise to Nnamdi Kanu and the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, who had earlier made the call to deaf ears.
He said the call was what the former Defence Minister should have made “since the advent of this administration.”
In a statement on Tuesday, Uko said, “We are watching. The only thing new is that Danjuma has confirmed what everybody has suspected about the military, which is that they have been protecting the killer herdsmen.
“The call on Nigerians to defend themselves against ethnic cleansing by Fulani herdsmen is belated.
“We had known that President Buhari’s agenda in appointing his kinsmen as heads of all the security agencies in the country was to protect the killer herdsmen in the heinous crimes against humanity.
“The security architecture is to allow his Fulani people embark on their Islamic Jihad or expansionist tendencies.
“Danjuma and his group should apologise to the IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, who saw the emerging scenario and alerted Nigerians over the issue about four years ago.”

IPOB Ready Compel Nigerian Government To Produce It's Leader, Nnamdi Kanu

BREAKING NEWS

IPOB Ready Compel Nigerian Government To Produce It's Leader, Nnamdi Kanu

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) on Saturday, said it would stage fresh protests in 88 countries to compel the Federal Government to produce its leader, Nnamdi Kanu.
This was contained in a statement signed by IPOB’s Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful.
He noted that the absence of its leader in the country did not mean that the struggle for Biafra was over.
“It is a known fact that IPOB is rooted in every community and town in the South-South and South-East. Our presence is felt even in remote villages where IPOB family members are preaching the gospel of restoration of Biafra.
“So, rather than diminish, our influence is growing on a daily basis. Our positive impact resonates with the people. Our presence in over 88 countries of the world is a testament to our global influence.
“Everybody has come to the realisation that our leader is the only person that can make a difference that is capable of shaking the foundations of Nigeria. The marginalised and the oppressed all miss him. We are still conducting our meetings across the world and pursuing vigorously the liberation of the Biafran people.
“We will continue our protests until the Nigerian Army releases our leader, Nnamdi Kanu, whom they kidnapped or presumably killed during the Operation Python Dance II in his hometown on September 14, 2017,” the statement read.

Ohaneze Ndigbo Reacts To IPOB Attack On Them

BREAKING NEWS

Ohaneze Ndigbo Reacts To IPOB Attack On Them

Ohaneze Ndigbo has said that the youth groups agitating for the sovereign state of Biafra lack experience.

This follows the attack on notable Igbo personalities, including a foremost lawyer, Prof. Ben Nwabueze; and a first republic minister, Chief Mbazuluike Amechi, who were attending an event organised by the Eastern Consultative Assembly in Enugu.

The pro-Biafran activists went on rampage and manhandled some of the dignitaries.
Reacting on Saturday, the spokesman for Ohanaeze, Uche Achi-Okpaga, told the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, to avoid playing into the hands of those who intended to hold Igbo down.

Addressing reporters on the matter, the Ohaneze spokesman said the group was not in support of the attack on the Igbo elders.

According to him, the Enugu incident was caused by frustration on the part of the aggrieved youths.

Achi- Okpaga said, “The youth would always behave as such . Now , some sections of the country feel that the Igbo should not be allowed to rule the country.

“Instead of distrust and disrespect, the youth should see beyond their noses that there is a deliberate and well – orchestrated ploy to downgrade Ndigbo.

“However, our youths remain our children. No matter the degree of the attacks, they are our children.
“We are training them informally. They will soon become leaders or elders and would, as well, learn to bear with the youthful displays of their own children.”

Nigeria Does Not Deserve To Exist - IPOB

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has declared that Nigeria does not deserve to exist.
IPOB said any country that condones the persecution of the innocent but reward “cold blooded murderers like Fulani herdsmen, does not deserve to exist.”
The pro-Biafra group stated this while reacting to the non-release of its members held in custody across the country.
IPOB wondered why killer herdsmen have not been apprehended despite their atrocities.
In a statement issued by its spokesperson, Emma Powerful, the pro-Biafra group also warned Ohanaeze Ndigbo to organise their events to focus on referendum and not restructuring.
The statement reads, “Anything that could be seen to endorse the continued existence of one Nigeria will be peacefully resisted. Ohaneze Ndigbo is hereby warned to reorganise their event to focus on referendum and not restructuring. If they insist on discussing restructuring within Nigeria, they will encounter a worse fate.
“There are hundreds of innocent Biafrans in prisons and illegal detention centres all across Nigeria for no reason whereas not a single Fulani man has been incarcerated for the killing thousands of people by their herdsmen Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association.
“A society, nation or country that condones the persecution of the innocent- in this case Biafra agitators, whilst rewarding cold blooded murderers like Fulani herdsmen, does not deserve to exist.”

Why We Attacked The Igbo Leaders In Enugu - IPOB

Why We Attacked The Igbo Leaders In Enugu - IPOB

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, on Thursday explained why some Igbo leaders were attacked during the Eastern Consultative Assembly (ECA) gathering in Enugu State.
IPOB said the protest was against the “one Nigeria project,” adding that Igbos have been subjected to apartheid under the current “Fulani Nigeria regime of Muhammadu Buhari.”
In a statement signed by its spokesperson, Emma Powerful, IPOB insisted that what resulted in the collapse of the event was the “announcement of an award for Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe who is seen by all as the sole architect of the monstrous one Nigeria project that have brought untold shame, misery and consumed over 3 Million Biafran lives and still doing so till today.”
“The leadership and family members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) worldwide wish to clarify that events that took place at Eastern Consultative Assembly (ECA) gathering in Enugu on Tuesday February, 27 is regrettable and unfortunate under the circumstance because it happened in the presence of the two most distinguished and respected elder statesmen we have in Professor Ben Nwabueze and Chief Mbazuluike Amechi.
“For this we respectfully and unreservedly apologise to both elders and the leadership of ECA for how the ceremony came to an end. Regardless of who was involved, we are all indigenous persons from Biafra. Everybody, as long as you are indigenous to the territories comprising Biafra, is IPOB. So we view and have always viewed our highly regarded elders like Prof. Ben Nwabueze and Chief Mbazuluike Amechi as our own.
“What transpired at the said gathering is not a protest against them or ECA but an indication of the level of loathing, anger and resentment against everything Nigeria amongst all right thinking indigenous persons from the East. We respect our honest elders like Prof. Nwabueze and Chief Amechi and will continue to do so. What happened was a protest against one Nigeria project not them.
“Nobody in tune with his or her senses will endorse the form of apartheid being visited on Biafrans by the current Fulani Nigeria regime of Muhammadu Buhari. What ordinary Biafrans are witnessing in Nigeria today is worse than what blacks experienced in South Africa that gave birth to the anti apartheid movement the world over. We would like the world to view the outburst at Enugu as sign of what is to come in the near future. Our people and a majority of other people that wish to be referred to as Nigerians are all tired of the one Nigeria experiment and wish to go their separate ways.
“It should not be forgotten that the said event was going smoothly but for the occasional boos that accompanied any mention of Nigeria. Chief Mbazuluike Amechi was cheered to the rafters after his speech though this aspect has received little or no press coverage.
“What precipitated the collapse of the event was the announcement of an award for Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe who is seen by all as the sole architect of the monstrous one Nigeria project that have brought untold shame, misery and consumed over 3 Million Biafran lives and still doing so till today. Had Nnamdi Azikiwe been blessed with the same parochial mind-set as Sir Ahmadu Bello and Chief Obafemi Awolowo then Nigeria would have evolved differently from this blood sucking, corrupt evil monstrosity that is the laughing stock of the world.
“What happened at Enugu should serve as a warning to any person or group promoting the continuation of this apartheid murderous one Nigeria project anywhere on Biafran territory. IPOB it must be said has made it very clear; we are not interested in a restructured Nigeria, all we want and prepared to settle for is outright independence, which can only be ascertained via a referendum.
“Anybody talking about restructuring is risking the anger of the people. With the notable exception of ECA and Ala-Igbo Development Foundation all other groups like Ohaneze Ndigbo favored by Abuja were the same people, alongside South East governors, that invited the murderous Nigerian Army under the guise of Operation Python Dance II to kill and slaughter innocent men, women and children for daring to demand to be free from Nigeria. They felt their pocket money from Aso Rock will dry up with the emergence of IPOB.
“Why not condoning the activities of the few that brought the event to a premature end, we must understand why they did it. The public rejection of Nnamdi Azikiwe and everything he stood for within Nigeria is a warning to those planning to hold similar restructuring gathering on the 16th of March 2018. It will be in their best interest to refrain from holding such event anywhere in Biafraland.”
Recall that a group of youths suspected to be members of IPOB and other pro –Biafra groups were said to have disrupted an event which was meant to honour some notable Igbo.
