EPL: Mourinho Reacts To Man United 2-0 Win Against Bournemouth, Pogba
Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho, has praised his players after their 2-0 win over Bournemouth on Wednesday night.
Chris Smalling opened scoring in the first half, before United held off the hosts’ resistance and Lukaku added the second with 20 minutes left.
“The players were good. I think good team performance, professional, controlled, good effort, desire to play, to score, desire to cope with the defensive responsibilities.
“Everything was different, it was faster, simple. I’m happy the result was also good, the players can have that positive feeling. Every player on the pitch was positive,” Mourinho said after the game.
The Portuguese also praised midfielder Paul Pogba, who put in a very impressive performance on the night and laid on the assist for Lukaku.
“I’m not very good on man of the match. Especially because i’m a team manager, but he played very well.
“Against City he was phenomenal but today he was very very good, so good choice,” Mourinho added.

EPL: Mourinho Enlists Paul Pogba For Transfer

SPORTS NEWS
EPL: Mourinho Enlists Paul Pogba For Transfer
Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho has added Paul Pogba to a list of players he may offload this summer.
Pogba’s relationship with his Portuguese manager has hit a new low after the former Chelsea boss substituted the Frenchman during the defeat to West Brom on Sunday.
The defeat handed the Premier League title to Manchester City earlier than expected.
It is not the first time Mourinho has lost faith in Pogba this season.
He has repeatedly been dropped by Mourinho this season.
And Daily Mail UK reports that Mourinho has finally decided to let the Frenchman leave the club.
The newspaper claimed that Mourinho wants to sell Pogba, although there is set to be resistance from the United board.
Ed Woodward will not want to sell a player United paid a club record transfer fee of £89million to sign just two years ago.
The 25-year-old midfielder has struggled to fit into Mourinho’s system and follow his manager’s instructions.

EPL: Mourinho Urged To Sell The Troublemakers in the Squad

EPL: Mourinho Urged To Sell The Troublemakers in the Squad
Former Manchester United captain, Gary Neville, has urged manager Jose Mourinho to identify the troublemakers in his squad and sell them in the summer.
Neville was reacting to United’s 1-0 defeat to West Brom on Sunday, which handed the Premier League title to rivals Manchester City.
Jay Rodriguez’s goal was enough to stun Old Trafford and give the Baggies their first league win since the 2-0 victory over Brighton in January.
Neville, who won eight Premier League titles in Manchester, has now told Mourinho what to do in the off season.
Speaking on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football, he said: “I didn’t see it coming, it was a dismal, weak day for United. They started the season trying to rid themselves of these performances.
“Mourinho referred to attitude and consistency, he needs to identify the ones causing those problems and they need to go. I think there will be three or four players leaving and the same number coming in.
“He’s got to make that gap up and it’s going to be tough. Consistency is about mentality and the players fell well below that considering the last couple of weeks.”

EPL: Mourinho Sets To Sign Neymar, Plans On Swapping Pogba, Martial

SPORTS NEWS
EPL: Mourinho Sets To Sign Neymar, Plans On Swapping Pogba, Martial
Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho might use Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial in a swap deal to land Brazilian international, Neymar.
Neymar moved to the Ligue 1 giants in a world record £224million transfer from Barcelona last summer.
The 26-year-old has grown disillusioned at PSG, fallen out with his coach Unai Emery and several of his high-profile teammates.
Pogba, who scored twice for Manchester United in Saturday’s derby victory, has also endured a turbulent few months at Old Trafford.
Also, Martial has been used sparingly in recent weeks having lost his starting spot to new signing Alexis Sanchez and has regularly been linked with a move to Juventus.
The Daily Star claims any deal would see United having to trade both Pogba and Martial, plus around £50m, in order to sign Neymar.
Neymar has been sidelined with an ankle injury for six weeks now.

EPL Manchester Derby: What Mourinho Told His Players At The Half Time
Manchester defender, Chris Smalling has revealed what Jose Mourinho told him and the other players that stirred them to victory at Etihad on Saturday.
Manchester United came from 2-0 down to beat Pep Guardiola’s men in front of the supporters in the Premier League.
City also got off to a flying start, with Vincent Kompany and Ilkay Gundogan both netting in the first half.
But United were a different team in the second half and turned the match around within minutes of the restart.
Paul Pogba was the catalyst, scoring twice in quick succession, and then Smalling grabbed the winner with a powerful volley.
Smalling told Sky Sports, “The manager didn’t have to say much at half time as we knew ourselves as players it was a poor performance.
“He said that we didn’t want to be the clowns standing there watching them get their title.
“City have been fantastic here all season, but we stepped up and won the game”

EPL: What Mourinho Said To Pogba After Interrupting His Interview

SPORTS NEWS
EPL: What Mourinho Said To Pogba After Interrupting His Interview
Manchester United boss, Jose Mourinho was angry with midfielder Paul Pogba for interrupting an interview after their 2-1 win over Liverpool in the Premier League.
Pogba did not feature in the game due to injury, but was at Old Trafford to watch his side beat their bitter rivals and claim three points.
The Portuguese manager was doing a post-match interview with the BBC when a delighted Pogba grabbed his hand and pulled the former Chelsea boss towards him.
Mourinho showed no signs of annoyance at the time, but the Sun UK reports that the former FC Porto boss confronted Pogba about the interruption later that day.
Mourinho raged with Pogba in the dressing-room and told him the interruption demonstrated a lack of respect.
Pogba has failed to break back into Mourinho’s starting eleven since sitting out the Liverpool game, starting on the bench against Sevilla and Brighton.
The former Juventus midfielder is currently on international duty with France and is expected back at Manchester at the end of March.
France coach Didier Deschamps had on Monday said that “he [Pogba] can’t be happy with what he’s going through with his club.”

FA Cup: Mourinho Reacts To Manchester United 2-0 Win Over Brighton, Says He is Not Happy

FA Cup: Mourinho Reacts To Manchester United 2-0 Win Over Brighton, Says He is Not Happy
Manchester Untied manager, Jose Mourinho, has reacted to his side’s 2-0 win over Brighton in the FA Cup on Saturday night.
Romelu Lukaku scored the first goal of the game, heading in Nemanja Matic’s cross shortly before half time. Matic himself doubled the lead later for the Red Devils.
Mourinho, however, accused several United players of hiding and failing to obey his tactical orders against Brighton.
Asked whether or not he got the response he wanted, Mourinho told reporters after the match: “I didn’t like the game, I think we deserved to win because the game was more or less in control for the majority of the time.
“We scored two goals and they didn’t score and we were in control for the majority of the time.
“When I spend two days working on the training pitch and attacking players are hiding and not wanting the ball between the lines I have to feel frustrated.
“We didn’t play the way I wanted to play, I didn’t have the reaction from all of them. I had the reaction from some of them.
“And because some of them were mentally strong enough and with football quality to play was the reason why we won.
“A team of XI when you don’t have a minimum of six or seven players wanting to play and wanting to have the responsibility of having the ball and the desire to play.
“Because one thing is to play and it’s another thing to be on the pitch it’s difficult to have a good performance, so no, I’m not happy with the performance at all.”
Meanwhile, the FA Cup is the only trophy Mourinho’s men are in contention for, after they were eliminated from the Champions League last week by Sevilla.

Champions League: Rio Ferdinand Has Reacted To Manchester United 2-1 Home Loss To Sevilla

Champions League: Rio Ferdinand Has Reacted To Manchester United 2-1 Home Loss To Sevilla
A former Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand has reacted to Manchester United 2-1 home loss to Sevilla and eventual crash out from the Champions League on Tuesday.
The first leg ended 0-0 in Spain and United knew they had to be wary of conceding an away goal at Old Trafford.
But after failing to score for the first 74 minutes, substitute Wissam Ben Yedder provided the killer blow for the visiting side.
The striker scored twice within the space of four minutes, meaning Romelu Lukaku’s late goal was nothing more than a consolation for United.
Ferdinand said Jose Mourinho and his players played like a team of strangers.
He said they looked like a team thrown together, full of strangers.
He told BT Sport, “Terrible.
“I didn’t see this result or this performance coming, especially after the result at the weekend against Liverpool, the way in which they played.
“I thought they would have brought confidence to this game. They looked like a team thrown together, full of strangers.
“They played with nerves, they just went out there and played nervous and cautious from the beginning.
“In these games you’ve got to go and take the game by the scruff of the neck.
“That takes personalities, takes characters to go and do that.
“In this stadium you’ve got to give these fans something to chant about.
“This stadium tonight was quiet and that’s down to the players.”

Champions League: What Mourinho Said After Manchester United Loss 2-1 To Sevilla

SPORTS NEWS
Champions League: What Mourinho Said After Manchester United Loss 2-1 To Sevilla
Manchester United boss, Jose Mourinho, has explained why his team surprisingly fell 2-1 to Sevilla in the Champions League round of 16 second leg at Old Trafford on Tuesday.
The first leg had ended 0-0 in Spain meaning that United have crashed out of the competition.
Mourinho said his team’s inability to score goals cost them a place in the Champions League last 8.
Speaking immediately after the match, the Portuguese gaffer said, “I think the first goal would be always important in this match, not just because of the first leg.
“We try to be aggressive and intense and I could see some similarities between this and Liverpool but When we didn’t score then Sevilla progressively kept the ball and controlled the game well.
“In second half we had good chances, good approaches to their box, they score one goal and form that moment everything becomes more emotional and much more difficult. The second goal impossible.
“The players were completely free for that, we had good situations, we had one good move with Lingard, Rashford and Valencia before end of first half which is exactly what we wanted. I can’t say my players had something wrong with their attitude and intention to play.
“Fantastic team like Tottenham has the same as us to do that. Liverpool has the Champions League but doesn’t have the FA Cup.”

Champions League: We Didnt Deserve To Win, Lukaku Blasts His Team Mates
Manchester United striker, Romelu Lukaku, has accused some of his team-mates of “hiding” during their 2-1 loss against Sevilla.
The Old Trafford club exited the Champions League at the last-16 stage, courtesy of two goals from Wissam Ben Yedder.
Lukaku scored a consolation late on, but it was not enough to rescue his side.
Speaking to BT Sport afterwards, he admitted that United did not deserve to qualify for the quarter-finals.
“Some things were flawed with some players, some players were hiding. The deception was really big, because you know I think we started the game well, and then we started to let them have control in the game.
“Then we had a few half chances but we didn’t really score, and then they scored the first goal.
“From that moment on we tried to chase the game and they scored the second one which was a big blow. At the end we kept pushing but it was not enough.
“We should have done better because the bit of quality we have in the team, we should have went through. We didn’t deserve it because we weren’t good enough,” Lukaku said.

Champions League: Scholes Blames Mourinho For Manchester United 2-1 Loss To Sevilla
Manchester United legend, Paul Scholes has attacked Mourinho over the club’s surprise 2-1 loss to Sevilla in their Champions League last-16 second-leg clash at Old Trafford on Tuesday.
A second-half brace from substitute Wissam Ben Yedder was enough to see off the Red Devils.
Scholes says United lacked desire and energy and claimed it was a difficult match to watch.
He has also criticised United for their performance in the first leg, which ended 0-0.
He told BT Sport, “It was very difficult watching that, it was difficult watching the first game. There’s no desire, no energy.
“He likes to play on the counter attack and use his pace,” Scholes said of Mourinho.
“It was very difficult watching that, it was difficult watching the first game.
“There’s no desire, no energy, no speed about the team.
“I can’t explain it, it’s unexplainable. It will be interesting to hear what the manager says.
“You go back to the first game, the modern games now is teams go to places and try to score goals.
“United went there and didn’t even try to win the game or score a goal.”

Transfer: Manchester United Intensify Their Bid For Bayern Lewandowski
Manchester United have moved into the lead in the race to sign Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich.
German magazine, Kicker, claims United are the only club that have made a move for the striker.
Lewandowski dropped his agent of 10 years, Cezary Kucharski, in February and replaced him with super agent Pini Zahavi, leading to speculation that he could be eyeing a move in the summer.
Real Madrid and Chelsea are also monitoring the 29-year-old’s situation.
If Bayern are tempted to do business, they may use United’s interest to bump up the price for Lewandowski.
Lewandowski has scored 32 goals this term and is tied to the Bundesliga giants until 2021.

Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho, has debunked speculations that Alexis Sanchez is not happy at the club.
Sanchez moved to Old Trafford in January from Arsenal.
The Chilean has scored only once in nine appearances for United in all competitions.

“He’s fine. He’s happy that the team is getting results.
“Lately, he wasn’t happy when we lost matches with him but he’s a guy with great maturity, with great attitude and we couldn’t be happier,” Mourinho said.
United face Sevilla next in the Champions League on Tuesday, before taking on Brighton in the FA Cup quarter-final.
