And now Paris Hilton is offering a behind-the-scenes glimpse of where the magic happens.

The 32-year-old opens the doors to her palatial Beverly Hills home in a new photo spread in the July issue of US Elle, photographed by The Bling Ring director Sofia Coppola, who shot scenes of the film in the reality star's $5.9 million house.

In one picture, Paris is seen lying in bed with one of her many dogs next to a cushion with a picture of the Eiffel Tower and the word 'Paris' emblazoned on the front.

In fact, the star appears to have a penchant for monogramming her objects, and is seen posing next to a pink surfboard with her name scrawled across.

Three identical throw cushions bearing her face are also seen side by side on an opulent chaise lounge.

The cushions made a particular impression on Sofia the first time she visited Paris' house.

'I saw the pillows adorned with [Paris’] face and I took my picture with them. She’s such a pop icon and has a sense of humor about herself. I think she was the first to really make herself into a brand.  She’s so dedicated to her style.'

The inside of Paris' actual home is featured in the new film, based on the true story about a group of money-hungry teens who broke into the homes of various stars - including Paris' - from 2008 to 2009.

'I don’t know what I’d do if I saw them,' Paris said of the thieves that broke into her house.
'I’m not a confrontational person.  But I would literally be like, "You guys need serious help.  And I want my stuff back."'

She is also pragmatic about her material wealth.

'There’s much more to life than all of these possessions and everything.  And if you want those things, you’re going to have to work yourself, just like I did.'

Asked what she would like people to take from the film, Sofia said:

'If nothing else, when people see it, everyone wants a Paris pillow. We might have to make those.'
