Rumours have been swirling that she may return to the American Idol judging panel next season.

And Jennifer Lopez's 'top-secret' meeting with Ryan Seacrest on Friday will only add fuel to the fire that she is set to rejoin the flailing show.

The pair met up at an office building in Beverly Hills, an eyewitness told RadarOnline.

'J.Lo was driven there by her regular driver. Ryan arrived simultaneously, and didn’t look happy to have been spotted,' said the source.

The FOX network is said to be desperate for Jennifer to return as a judge on Idol next season after judges Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj and Randy Jackson quit, but the star says she is on the fence about it.

'I don't know. That's the question of the moment. I loved doing the show. I've said that over and over. If it came down to it and things were right and it worked out right - we have a lot going on right now,' Jennifer told USA Today in May.

'For an offer to come in and for me to consider it, I would have to sit down and look at my next year.'

Meanwhile, Jennifer sparked controversy when she wore what many deemed inappropriate attire for her performance at the Chime For Change's Sound Of Change concert in the UK last Sunday, which was meant to be an event that put women's rights firmly in the spotlight.

Flanked by male backing dancers half her age, the sultry singer thrusted her body vigorously, leaving little to the imagination in her fishnet tights, leotard and leather boots.

The mother-of-two, who has been making her pop comeback, recently spoke out about the power of women in the industry.

'Women have taken over the music industry - when you think of all the female artists who are out,' she told Stylist magazine.

'Even going back 20 years, back to Cher, Gloria Estefan and that whole time with Mariah Carey and Celine Dion and then the next wave which was me and then Britney [Spears] and Beyonce to what's continued to now Rihanna and Lady Gaga,' she added.
