[PHOTO] Update on UNIBEN student shot dead by cultists on campus

A yet to be identified 200 level Industrial Mathematics student of the University of Benin, Edo state was on Friday shot dead by some unknown cultists.
DailyPost gathered that the student was shot dead inside the school premises during his biometrics registration as directed by the National Universities Commission.
A reliable source who spoke with DailyPost correspondent but pleaded anonymity said, “The students were doing biometrics registration as requested by the school authority at sport complex of the University.

“Later, some unidentified gunmen stormed the scene and shot a student. No warning shot at all, they just aimed their target.
“Immediately, every one ran helter skelter. There was stampede; the assailants, suspected to be cultists dropped their guns,in case the school security and the Police decide to carry out stop and search, then took off with the crowd.
“The deceased was a student of industrial Maths, 200 level. He was into music, a rap artiste.”
However all efforts to speak with the Edo state Police Command Spokesperson, Mr. Moses Eguavoen, were unsuccessful as his mobile number was not going through.
