Rihanna hits the town until 5am in unusual over-the-knee footwear

It seems that Rihanna's over-the-knee boots were made for partying.
The 25-year-old singer wore the unusual monochrome footwear as she headed out on the town in London on Friday night.
The Barbadian singer teamed the striking boots, which boasted a bold pattern and peep toe detail, with a plain white T-shirt dress.

The singer added a flash of colour with bright red lipstick across her pout.

Accessorising with chunky Chanel cuffs and a pair of diamond earrings the singer carried an umbrella as she stepped out in the rain.

Rihanna, along with her female friend Melissa Forde, headed to Cuckoo Club for a wild night out ahead of her first tour date in London on Saturday.

The singer is performing at Twickenham stadium with DJ David Guetta as he support act.
But she might be feeling a little tired for her show after staying out until 5am.
As she returned to her hotel the sun was starting to come up.
Earlier in the day Rihanna was seen sporting another monochrome outfit as she left her hotel.

Onlookers would surely be tipping their hats at the RnB princess as she sported a chic baseball cap for her day out.
The star's choice of headpiece appeared to have a patent rim at the front, with the main part of the cap black with random white squiggle designs.
It was a street addition to her otherwise high end outfit as she took a rare day off from her relentless tour ahead of her weekend shows.

Riri looked slim and sexy in a cute black button up dress as she went about her day in London.
She paired her dress with a pair of simple white converse trainers as she chose a more relaxed set of footwear compared to her usual high heels.
A major fan of Chanel, the pop star carried a fun Lego inspired bag from the French fashion house, and also showed off a bit of jewellery with a statement cuff bangle.
She also wore a pair of sunglasses - with strings attached to the legs so they would not be able to fall off.
Perhaps in a reference to one of her more recent chart hits, she also wore large diamond earrings for her day out in town.

Later, Rihanna went for a shop at world famous department store Harrods in London's exclusive Knightsbirdge area.
After browsing the store, the star got philosophical on Twitter, tweeting the words: 'As a man thinketh, so is he!'
The line is taken from a philosophical poem by James Allen printed in 1902 - although quite what prompted the S.O.S singer to tweet this message to her fans is so far unclear.
