Weeks before his girlfriend Kim Kardashian is due to give birth to their first child, Kanye West is defending himself against rumors that he's cheated.
"This most recent attack on Kanye West and his family is totally without merit," his rep told PEOPLE in a statement on Wednesday, amid a tabloid report that the rapper got intimate with a model while dating a pregnant Kardashian. "It's a blatant attempt by a misguided individual who is clearly seeking publicity, and another in a series of malicious stories drummed up by non-credible 'news' sources. This is a sad attempt to hurt two people trying to live their lives."
The report claimed West hooked up with the model twice and told her his relationship was all for publicity.
West, 36, and Kardashian, 32, most recently celebrated the reality starlet's baby shower in Beverly Hills, where they were joined by the hip hop star's family from both sides, as well as the mom-to-be's brood.
"Kim and Kanye were so cute – he rubbed her belly," Kardashian's aunt Karen Houghton told PEOPLE on the day of the big event. "They're just really blessed. It's such a happy day."
