Three Is Feared Dead in UNIUYO As Studentts And Police Clashed

Emerging reports from Uyo state that there was a violent confrontation earlier today between the police and students of the University of Uyo. The students are also reported to have burnt down the VC’s office. The whole fracas initially kicked of with a peacefull protest to demonstrate the sudden changes made by the V.C concerning their transportation from Uniuyo Main Campus to Uniuyo Permanent Site.
On getting to the VC’s office the students were prevented from seeing the VC by security operatives this led to the students retaliating by throwing stones at the VC’s office, the police operatives called for backup and it led to a full blown riot. The police fired shots at the students and killed three innocent students, one has been identified as Kingsley a 200 level student of the department of zoology . The students on the other hand destroyed school properties, set the office of the V.C, the school’s main gate and a hostel. The rampage went on for hours. The school has been closed down till further notice.
